The time approaches when it be necessary to stop pretending that everyone should be able to get whatever medical treatment they desire because they were born once. Rationing of medical care is necessary and has always been necessary. As a free good its demand is almost limitless.

It can be rationed by economics or by bureaucracy. The recent bombings in London and Glasgow point out the fallacy of bureaucratic rationing. The supply of citizens willing to work in the government medical system is outstripped by the demand for free medical care. Even bureaucratic rationing devolves into economic rationing.
