I believe the Chinese are VERY smart, and very capitalistic.

That is the people.

They are still Communist however.

That is the government.

In the future, the communists will have to rely on emotional nationalistic appeals to win public approval. And target foreign enemies for demonization - that is us.

can see them trying to add more land to their stable eventually.

Why would you say that when China has had a couple thousand years much of which THEY had the superior intellect and technology to do so and except for Tibet I cant recall them ever making any territorial demands that werent actually somewhat reasonable such as Hong Kong and Taiwan. jdn
