"then who or what else has the capacity to create, change, and destroy the world we live in?" There isn't a "who" or "what" in the sense of it being a single entity. There are a number of forces which shape the universe. Many we don't even have an inkling of what they are. Some very well may be called "God". "That's the role secular humanism seeks to fulfill." Not from what I have read about it. In fact, it explicitly rejects the whole idea that such a role even exists. Hence the "secular" part.
