...the YEN is hurting and/or holding back
a rise in the price of Gold.

I believe the issue is that the YEN now becomes the favored vehicle for "flight to quality" investments, soaking up what would otherwise be gold investments.

Hi John, always nice to see you, so to speak-lol.

John: "I read (from various posters) all over SI that
the rise in the YEN is hurting and/or holding back
a rise in the price of Gold."

I have seen that too, but would need to see the actual logic to make any assessment. If I had to guess I would guess it has something to do with the yen carry trade?

I check the dollar/gold-silver correlation 20 times a day and it is still holding. Dollar is down tonight and gold and silver are up.

If I run across anything or come up with an idea I will post it. Maybe soemone else has soem insight.

cheers,

Chuck

Old news coming back... but WS has short attention and memory. Hence those speaking of this for years are chicken littles, and someone who mentions it yesterday is a genius.
