lol, those pictures look almost as bad as Walter Reed.

Talk about credibility gaps... The captainsquarterblog isn't exactly a neutral source that I would give much credibility to when it comes talking about Cuba. And no (in case you ask), I don't give Moore all that much credibility on Cuba either. But only someone who is willfully blind or a liar would maintain today that the US health care system isn't broken. Moore's great virtue lies in tackling important issues like this and making people react to them. Americans seem to need a kick in the pants to do this, and I applaud such efforts. No film (and no one book either) will be able to give a full picture, or a completely accurate picture of our health system not to mention 3 or 4 others. The most that can be expected from it is for it to highlight important aspects and the give highlights of other approaches. The details and final approaches can only be worked out over a long period of dialogue. Certainly, at this point, plenty of businesses want to be relieved of the health care responsibility in this country, and it's not just businesses like GM, Ford, IBM and others with such huge legacy liabilities. And not just businesses either--you may or may not have noticed that the state of Texas in its infinite wisdom is balking at living up GASB accounting standards, because if they do, they will become technically insolvent due to their health care and pension liabilities that they currently have no way of actually paying. The legislature wants to keep going year by year, so that they can continue to pretend that there is no financial crisis that will hit in a couple of decades, by which time the great majority of the current members will be long retired.

The American way.... Live long and be happy (but not too long).
