HE was going to do so many things. ... and really, it wasn't just Clinton. Most of the preceding President have been pretty good, each making progress on building the strength of western institutions. The world was getting more prosperous, less wars, more free. Nice incremental progress ever since Vietnam... most of my adult life. Than along came Bush with a 'better way'.

HE was going to fix all the things Clinton did "wrong". HE was going to restore respect to the US. HE was going to do so many things. Wound up screwing everything up. And he started early and never let up. You have to wonder, it is possible for someone to be that incompetent? Such a perfect storm of incompetence......it still worries me that it was intentional.
