I think a royalty free cross license and $100 million is more than yielding a little bit on license terms. BRCM has made it clear they want pass through rights and thus the destruction of the QCOM business model. It's like negotiating with the Devil.

<But, I've also been thinking that if qcom yielded a bit on licensing terms brcm would sign.>

I wonder how the carriers feel for being played for a fool so that NOK and others could delay WCDMA in order to just increase their profits and make all these carriers carry teh extra $11B in lic fees while they played a self serving chess game?
