You can get BC geology in detail here..

em.gov.bc.ca

webmap.em.gov.bc.ca

The layers you turn on to view rocks are the "BCGS geology layers 2005" at the bottom left index but above the GSC geology layers. GSC stuff does not work. Colours come in with the BCGS stuff.

In order to display it you have to be using IE 6 or higher and download a .net directX plug in for microsoft. Maybe all you need is that dotnet directx plug in for IE6 or 7. It may or may not require certain .net 3.0 upgrades to win2000 or XP. But it is more or less automatic when it detects the need.

The Autodesk Review may not be necessary.

I don't know if you need a DWFx Review software from autodesk, but if you do its "free" here from Autodesk.. (not at the site you are directed to on the BC site, as the software has changed.)

usa.autodesk.com

It's called Autodesk Design Review. 32 megabytes. It's for free viewing of DWF drawing files made in Autocad or one of the file makers that Autodesks gives away or sells.

I have determined it is in the Overlap terrane, between the Quesnel terrane and just west of a post accretionary area and it is near or in a tertiary basin. It is in the Similkameen Okanagan region and the Kamloops administrative district. It is in the Similkameen Mining Division. It is part of the Merritt Mining region.

It has Spences Bridge Group, Princeton Group, and Nicola group volcanics and sediments, which are Triassic, Cretaceous, and Eocene in age. Most volcanics are andesitic in composition. There are granodioritic rocks and dioritics to the south, as well as some granites, and some basalts. Faults and contacts run thru Princeton and around it to the North East. Some contacts to the north and south run North West.

The area appears to be a regional broad tension fracture indicating a fault block is being rotated clockwise by dextral southeast movement. It is in a broad valley area with fingers extending along watersheds into the Tulameen coal measure area, along the Tulameen River and into the Okangan river. It is in the 092H map area. Relief is low for the Cordillera, between less than 1000 to 3000 ft ASL.
