You want to see partisan extremism....I suggest you read the story of the Surgeon General who just quit..... The President is the one who sets the agenda....not his political appointees....this is nothing new. J.

"And you call yourself an independent..." Yes, and I stand by what I said. I can see that many things Bush is responsible for haven't gone as well as I would like. Security on our southern border, health care costs, and Iraq for example. I don't believe he would be happy about harm coming to any aspect of our country just because it would advance himself or anyone in his political party... that is the kind of extremism that I was referring to. All extremists are centered around that issue. Their willingness to compromise core beliefs or principle to advance their personal agenda is the nature of their extremism. There are plenty of right wingers on SI willing to do that just like you do for the left wing.
