<<Taxes!! I got home today and there was a notice from the IRS saying that we owed an additional 335.00 and change from 2005. >>

When I joined the army in '69 I had some money in a college account. My mother added some money to it to buy a CD. She'd get the interest while I was gone and I'd get the CD when I came home. I came home in Sept of '71 and got the last interest payment of the year. The bank listed all the years payments going to me.

In '76 the IRS told me I owed taxes on the first 3 payments. Showed them where my mother had paid and got a note said it was solved. Next year another letter, sent them the same information plus the letter and got another ok. Next year I got ANOTHER letter, sent them all the information PLUS the 2 problem solved letters and they put my house up for sale over $88. I paid them their fucking money.

Oh taxes!!!

One year we got a tax notice that we stilled owed money for that year and I knew we were right, so we hired a tax attorney to represent us and to make a long story short, it ended up with them owing us money back instead. IMHO they should have been required to pay our attorney fees as it was their fault and error in the first place that made us dispute them. I keep very detailed records and our CPA has told me when she starts showing them my records, they usually look at her and say, "Case Closed".
Sometimes it is time consuming, but usually worth every bit of effort I put into it. Has been so far.

Wayne Newton continues to entertain to the hilt and his talent has never waned. I still remember every time we flew into Vegas, the pilot would always point out his ranch as we were flying over it into their airport.
