While I read Yon, I think his reportage on this story was a little...irresponsible for a "real" journalist, and I do see it as akin to reporting from an Iraqi (and there are undoubtedly ones who would say this)- that the Iraqi knew some one who knew some one who had seen the Jews mix human blood with their Matzo. I researched the story pretty thoroughly, and I think it is problematic, and is a blemish on Yon's otherwise interesting reporting. My main problem with the story, and the reason I mentioned it at all, is that some people on SI were outraged, outraged! that the MSM wouldn't pick it up. I think unsourced rumors are exactly the sort of thing the media should not pick up, and people on the right often complain about the left wing rumors they pick up (although the existence of these tends to be over reported), so it seemed odd to me they'd be so insistent about this rumor being reported. Do you have a link for the vegetable thing? That sounds like another hoax. But I'd be happy to exmaine a link to the order.

With an eye to making a few extra bucks, I was working on a handy-dandy cross-reference of your posts, arranged by key word & phrase, and further sorted by outraged response, feigned indignance, ax-grinding specialty, and incoherent rant, but the old machine I was using could not handle the pressure and blew up instead. Rather like events on SI. I had hoped to put my sister's third child through college with the proceeds. Ah, well. Oh dear. The eternal vendetta wing of SI reaches for new heights. I don't think this is quite the place, though, this thread has long been primarily about the war propaganda wing of SI. But I guess you're covering that base too.
