I don't what gave you the impression I supported NATO in its current form? Because NATO is as it is and you said it was necessary, that failure to support it was tantamount to failure to protect, and objected to reducing the US cost. There needs to be ongoing mutual and consistent message sharing and agreement between participating nations. That occurs at the UN, too, and lots of people object to the UN. I understand the aversion to world government, but a venue for communication and consensus building IMO is always a good thing.
