They are public boards. Publicness does not excuse harassment, or make it a subject unworthy of comment. It doesn't mean there is anything one can DO about harassment, but it does not excuse it and it does not preclude people from commenting on it.

"These are public boards.....if you do not wish to have your posts commented upon the solution is VERY simple....DON'T POST."

Your post is a classic example of confusing the issue. The issue is not whether these boards are public- they clearly are. The issue is not about commenting- I think we all agree people can comment. The issue is harassing posts, which I think almost everyone would agree you post- and the only thing I am saying is that I have a right to comment on your harassment. I don't want to quit posting because of you. You obviously want to make the issue about something else, anything else, but since the issue is not about public boards, or commenting, but rather on the nature of your "commentary" and my response to it, your comment is illogical.

I can say the same thing to you. If you are uncomfortable with having your nasty posts commented on, don't post, or don't post to me. I don't post to you when you don't post about me, and I don't go to threads where you post. Very simple, isn't it?
