I really don't consider Vatican City a country, but I've never seen the economic and other stats on what they own. I think it's about as big as the farm museum across the street from my house in the middle of Queens, NY. ;-)

I'd guess that the net worth of the Catholic Curch is falling approximately as fast as the net worth of the lawyers that have been suing it is rising. As usual, the victims are getting probably getting very little and a bunch of the cases are probably BS.

latin america & africa are ripe territory .
the boston herald tried to do a search to find out
how much property has been deeded to the catholic church.
they found 3/4 of a billion of non occupied property. And said this was the tip of the iceberg.
