I think the Russians have learned better than to piss away treasure the way we do in stupid wars and chest-beating displays.

I doubt they'll resume that course.

They're chessplayers competing with a checkers man. At the moment, they just want to get their economy together.

I don't think anything that happens during this admin is going to cause any learning, much less quick learning. I don't think this admin can learn. We'll just have to wait them out- so I'm hoping for as few undesirable repercussions between now and the exist of Bush, since I am afraid all undesirable repercussions are going to be met with undesirable responses.
