Our taxes are regressive, not progressive.

The bottom 60% of households possess 4% of the nation's wealth but earn 27% of the income which means they're paying way more than their fair share.

Taxes should be flat and based on wealth. If you have 90% of the nation's wealth you should pay 90% of the nation's taxes. Nice and flat, nice and fair.

But we're nowhere near that today. Our tax system is regressive.

Politicians receive bribes from the wealthy in the form of "political contributions" (which are tax deductible). Believe me those who get taxed at a higher rate have a bigger voice.
