Personally I am a firm believer in national sovereignty and decentralization of power. So the success I would like to see would be for Iraq to actually be independently sovereign. But I am realistic enough to know that we want to control what they do with their oil. So I guess the success I would settle for would be to see them get a fair shake as far as the oil revenue sharing laws. I don't see why they should subordinate themselves to a Federal Oil and Gas Council which would in fact give away their sovereignty to a large degree as regards the most valuable asset they have.

That is an answer to your question. If you question ignores the question of sovereignty as it relates to the most valuable asset in the country, then it is a question about form only.

I am more interested in substance.
