All Time Nokia Share Highs ???

Somewhere I think have a more updated and better formatted table than the one below based on Gartner sell through (although perhaps a year + old since last updated). If I can't find it to update, I'll try and put it back together one of these days. I put this together back in late 2003 and updated it in early 2004 (before the H1 crash they have now recovered from).

I believe this quarter is an all time low for Moto unit and revenue share.

Nokia is likely to have an all time quarterly high share this quarter for sell-in and probably sell through as well. Perhaps for sell-in they already set it. I noticed in the last SA sell-in update that they stated ...

247 million mobile handsets were shipped worldwide in Q1 2007. Volumes increased at 11% annually, the slowest rate for 2 years. ... Nokia reached its highest ever market share.

My fuzzy recall was that their high quarterly sell through share was 37.x% or ~36.9% but evidently if the data I resurrected above is accurate they took out the Q4 2001 sell through high of 36.1% in Q4 2006 with the 36.2% share Gartner credited them with.

There is not much question in my mind but that at close of year Nokia will be at an all time high for annual share in both sell-in and sell through. Motorola opened the door for them at the same time that Nokia was mid-stream in product refresh across all price tiers and introducing new terminal platforms and chipset engines (low end single chip, and high end ARM11 based single and dual CPU chipsets), enhancing the S40 and S60 software platforms, driving smartphones into the mid-range, getting thinner, and introducing a broad range of HEDGE and HEDGE-Fi enabled models.

This is historical annual sell through ...
