Well Wayne, I';ve been a biker since I was 14, and own two bikes now. Forget those V twin cruisers. Buy a MODERN design that can do it all: vfrworld.com This is the best general purpose motorcycle on the road. I've toured the entire western United States on one and used it to do a 66 mile commute (one way) splitting lanes in S. Cal. every day as a software contractor. It won "Motorcycle or the Year" from multiple publications for over a decade running. It incorporates the engine that Honda won GP's with for 15 years.
