"We are bound in this existence by our resolve to contribute to the well being of all. Conscientious people accept that and seek the well being of one in response to another with liberation from oppressive coercion. Persons who seek an escape from that responsibility are bound in despair and the misery of their selfishness, which drives them in their envy to lash out continually at those living up to the nobility of their birth; but, it will never get them out of anything. Reason fails those who would sacrifice principle and conscience for loyalty to partisan machination. Does that reveal a character flaw? You decide.

Wow, you're nuts. I can't think of any other way to say it..."

I think he's got a point. He just doesn't see that in Iraq we are seeking to get them to trade one type of oppressive coercion for another. We are trying to oppressively coerce our ideas and values onto them and their culture. To think we are trying to free them from all oppression and coercion is amazingly naive.

"Vietnam illustrates the fact that staying is not always better than leaving when it comes to overseas adventures.

But demonstrates nothing about Iraq.

""The short answer is Vietnam."

More meaningless nastalgic whining. You've gone full circle on that.

By 150,000 foreign troops? Get real. An Iraqi government that needs 150,000 American troops to exist isn't legitimate."

There is no logical reason to make that conclusion.

"Wow, you're nuts. I can't think of any other way to say it..."

Ahhh very enlightening. Thanks Steve.
