There HAS TO BE rationality behind our strategies and tasking. ('Truthiness', ignoring facts and realities, does not pay off in the real world.) Add that (idiocy/incompetence of the tasking that is laid down by current political, but lame duck, leadership, absence of any effective or even rational strategy) to the facts that Paul is perceived as a straight-shooter, a true conservative, and long-time supporter of the military, and it's not hard to see why his support in the military is higher then the others. (With all the 'Johnnie-come-latelys' mouthing platitudes to military families, empty suits, gutless ward heelers, bought-and-paid-for pols, egomaniacs, tone-deaf idiots trying to pass themselves off as 'strategists', big government Authoritarians, and 'Neo-Con' 'world improvers' willing to break our military on the anvil of some sort of 'New World Order' wet dream they've had... it's not had to understand the appeal of Paul at all.)
