I'm actually hoping the Gaza/WB split might prove productive. Nothing better than letting the Pals see two possible approaches, then lets see if they can choose the right one. Strange things can happen. Who would have guessed that this split was going to happen?

Israeli people for the most part want nothing more than peace and prosperity.

If this were true then they would immigrate to the US where peace is a non-issue, and pursue prosperity. Someone who chooses to live surrounded by people who hate them and want to kill them is not seeking peace and prosperity.
