Nope....We said the Bank of Dad (and Mom) is closed. Period. Well, not quite. But we are trying to lock the door for awhile...<ggg>

On that guilt thing....our advice is : "try really hard to not do that"....we speak from experience there.

Our son did that for awhile....Zooming his two around to professional ball games, after the movies earlier, plus all sorts of treats. Or video games (how many do they want at a crack kind of thing....) or "you like American girl dolls....OK, which one do you want...Do you like all her clothes, OK...etc etc....)

It was REALLY TRULY hard for us to see all of that going on, and not say something.

I think we buttoned our lips for about 4 weeks...(wishing that was funny...)

BUT son finally saw the light....and realized that the kids were more and more demanding... He stopped doing financially so many things every time he saw them, but they spent time watching or participating in their own sports, had "play dates" with other kids, or sleepovers....not all the time, but sometimes.

Things are MUCH better now....GOOD LUCK to you!
