Now the news is out, and Wendy is sitting calmly beside her forgiven husband, while he talks about how he hates his sin, and so forth, following the same script as so many others.

In this climate, is not easy to find comments as cynical as the facts. Often John Stewart's major laugh lines are repeated verbatim from the evening news.

Judging from this -

- he would seem to be a serious contender, for the nomination, at least.

And either Giuliani or Romney seem just as likely to self-destruct.
