"I like aspects about Paul and would like to believe this uptick in popularity was about his libertarian attitude, but I think it is more about his disapproval of Iraq."

Completely consistent with Libertarian philosophy, regardless....

(It has been said many times that Libertarians are the *largest* political grouping in America without a leader.... As the WAPO post you made a few days ago stated, using 'cluster analysis' to examine where people should be grouped based on their beliefs, some '22%' of registered Republicans scored as Libertarian in philosophy, and some '8%' of registered Democrats --- totally about '30%'. And, of course, other surveys I've seen consistently show about a 1/3rd. slice of the LARGEST political grouping in America, Independents, share in Libertarian beliefs, small government, low & fair taxes, individual liberty, no 'Big Daddy' or 'Big Mommy' government telling everyone how to live, end to both corporate *and* individual welfares, etc.)

So, when you add the Libertarian slices from the GOP, Dem, and Independents... you truly have one of the largest philosophical groupings in America.... And ALL unserved by either major political party.
