Sold 1/3 position in ABB for a small profit. Company could be impacted on any Global slow down and at current prices the PE is still high. Therefore there is not much safety if sales soften and with such a small dividend, the price could fall below $20 on any further sell off. I will look to add more shares around the $18 price range.

Capital preservation is important in this market environment. I have 25% cash reserves that I am ready to deploy on further market sell offs. I am looking for another 5%-8% decline as the market trys to find a bottom.

What's frustrating is as the market corrects, my cash reserves (as a % of the portfolio) increases but I see my paper gains disappear. Therefore, my strategy is to add to several of my current holdings at lower prices and even add new picks when the value opportunities present themselves. Holding good paying dividend companies allows one to wait, collect the dividends and let the price/value come to you.
