"At war", hardly. Just a couple of old farts who did battle during our working years and have found that in our retirement years we can't let go of the habit. "The Owl", that is how he provided his family with a roof over their heads and meat on the table. "Me", I felt I could change things. Ya know, like redeem a social disgrace, grow a better garden, withstand betrayal of false friends. So we sit here watching the screen, knowing we are in the autumn of our lives, and still wondering what will become of us. My present Mayor has decided not to run again, and I hope I had something to do with that. They no longer put copper in our water system, and I damn sure did that. I can't speak for the Owl but I know what is happening to me. I just don't know when.

Well Mr. Owl, don't be too sure about those denizens of the dark who have most certainly been eating the owl pellets.....it has to do with how I too have endeavored to make things better for us all. But alas, that is a story that can not be told here... and it will take a significant effort (even for one endowed with the power cosmic) to bring it all to a just conclusion. The problem for my opponents is that I never engage in battle until the victory has already been won... There are some lurking owl pellet eaters that read this thread and they know precisely how puckered and beaten they really are. LOL!!!!!!! What goes around really does come around... that premise is found in every major world religion disguised as "the golden rule", Karma, the law of reciprocity, etc. etc.
