Rambi, it's a popular myth that humans are all comingled so any of us can be anything when we are born and it's just what happens to us that matters.

The myth arose because people were scared of being accused of being racists, which got a lot of bad press. It's odd [to me] that the same process continues to this day, in different guises. People aren't actually enslaved in exactly the same way, but everyone is just state-owned cattle chattel, like so many milk cows to be sucked dry by IRD with little left over for our own purposes.

The underlying concept of slavery, statism, rape, serfdom and other means of making people work for you against their will is that other people can be controlled and forced to do things for you without the compensation they would want in a freely consenting relationship.

Dogs are a good comparison with races. You can see from comparing a beagle with a pit bull that personality, nature, intelligence are genetically determined. Yes, with care and attention, some pit bulls won't actually eat any passing child. And some beagles might snap at people if brought up badly. That's irrelevant.

Human races are the same. Some are more intelligent. It's not because they aren't eating their bread crusts or they are watching too much of the wrong tv.

If you get down to smaller "races" such as families, which are quite distinct gene pools, some are tall, some are big and muscular, some have haemoglobin D, some have all sorts of genetic traits, including intelligence.

You only need to visit Nederlands, then Italy, to see the difference in height between races.

It is quite obvious that all other genetic aspects will vary to a greater or lesser extent between races. That's how gene pools work. When living separately, they go off on their own trajectories, forming their DNA into the optimum state for the place where they are living and the social context. The social context constantly changes too, so genes are self-changing by their own pressure on each other, within a single gene pool.

The tiny difference between humans doesn't mean it's insignificant. 99% similarity is vastly different. Chimps run at 98.5% human and we don't mistake many humans for chimps though some are hard to differentiate.

A bloke I know who does intelligence researching at McQuarie University thinks that it might be as few as half a dozen genes which really turn on the light bulbs. Years ago, when I was more flush [pre biotelecosmictechdot.com crash] we were going to hunt down those genes. Imagine if women could tick the box for those hot-stuff genes.

I would be really really annoyed if my stupid mother told me that she didn't tick the box so I would be "natural". It is a LOT easier to have a better brain than to spend hours grinding away learning stuff and trying to figure it out.

Smart people, when their brains are watched while thinking, do not much at all to get the right answer. Originally, the expectation was that their brains would be like a high performance Ferrari, roaring flat out and getting to the answers. But no, they just sit there, flicker for a moment in just the right areas, and pop out the answers. It's the dull ones who thrash around with their whole brain glowing, trying to get the answer.

I do NOT like natural. I like unnatural 747s for flying to the northern hemisphere. Unnatural heating is great for winter. Unnatural hybrid corn is delicious and starch free. Almost everything I like and use is unnatural.

I still quite like natural air compared with polluted, but perhaps the mix of nitrogen, CO2 and O2 etc could be improved. CO2 has no benefit for me, though I have to leave some in the air to keep the trees in business, putting out more oxygen.

In fact, it's probably better to push CO2 up to 500 ppm to enhance plant growth. Plants are very useful to people. Olympic records will be harder to come by [in aerobic sports] but that doesn't matter much. Some genetic selection and engineering could make up the difference. Swimmers could look more like dolphins and runners more like cheetahs.

"mental midgets" = super smart 3 year olds. Good point!
