No, I don't think the small vehicles should be on the same road as the larger ones. The large trucks on the same road as regular sized and small sized cars is difficult enough. Nor do I think golf carts should be on any freeway.

But somehow, I think that there MUST be a way that we could accommodate the economy mined carts on our regular town roads...where the speed limits are 35 mph or under....That really doesn't seem to be a huge obstacle, and certainly would ease up on gas consumption.

A little at a time, we could relieve our dependence on foreign oil. Plus save ourselves money on top of it.
