On the other hand, Nokia's tactics to not pay should immediately become invalid. Qualcomm should start counting patents individually to negotiate new contracts with any company.

doesn't mention minimum payment. could this be a fall back position until work around? too late for vz not to offer opinion on court.. they already did that, so congress knows the position. all they agreed to is not to continue pushing it. sounds like nothing to me...

i wonder if vz got some inside information that told them no veto and this is your only out. ???

Verizon must be royally pissed at Qualcomm right now.


Maybe they'll be suing qcom to get it back.
So much for the "easy fix ready to go, just waiting for genius strategic reasons" crowd.

Slacker, bet VZ goes after Qcom in lowering their rates in the current or next contact on royalities. This will then be a blow to Qcom.
