I buy big bags of organic turmeric from Moutain rose herbs. BTW, turmeric is also a great anti-diarrheal, so if you do take it, make sure you are eating plenty of fruits and veggies and water or you might get a bit uncomfortable.

>>Where does one get curry? What form is it? How much to take? etc, etc....<<

Ken -

I am not being facetious at all when I say that I think the best place to get curry is in either an Indian or Thai restaurant. Eat a lot of it, and eat it often. It's good, and good for you!

<<She's talked to her doc about some tests to detect it.>>

Last I heard the best way to detect it for sure is during an autopsy, good test to avoid.

Today I talked with a gal from Figi.........they use the yellow curry in much of their cooking..........she doesn't know anyone with Alzheimers.

Figi residents came from India.....mainly as criminals but they have that same ancestry.

She also had a grandfather that had many wives so she has about 50 or 60 aunts and uncles..............none have the disease.

I will continue to ask.

She did specify that Indians use Termuric in many ways. They use it as a body coating in some weddings.

I'll be very interested in what you learn about your friends and Alzheimer's in their country. My very own Sweet Shirley has become fearful she may be developing the disease. She's talked to her doc about some tests to detect it. I don't know how they might do that, but apparently they can.

Ken, as I understand it, the diagnosis of Alzheimers consists largely of ruling out other diseases. I don't believe there is a simple test for the disease.
