As we learned from the Gore wedding, that service is already available for the ultra rich, ultra self righteous crowd.

Maybe they could start with fish. If some of the articles are to be believed, there are farms in some countries that raise them in veritable sewage. It'd be nice to get fish you don't have reason to believe may have been raised in sewage.

Fish already has such labels. I recall reading recently that it's the only food that does.

As I was googling to verify that, I noticed an article that said a recent poll showed that 92 percent want country of origin labels on food. I expect those polled haven't given much actual thought to what such a program would look like. This issue reminds me of folks who favor deporting every illegal alien, stopping global warming, or stopping terrorism. Sure, we don't want those things, but do we want them badly enough to endure the cost? Particularly given the all but certain impossibility of ever achieving the elimination of such risks.
