Of course I don't think we should allow or encourage American citizens to provide the financial backing for the violent overthrow of foreign governments or terrorism. I thought that when millions of dollars were being covertly funneled by individual Americans, including members of Congress still sitting, to the terrorist Irish Republican Army, too. (You remember the IRA, the group that almost murdered Thatcher, did murder Mountbatten, and left bombs with great frequency all over England for decades.)

Following the logic that the government need not prove anything until after they've taken away all ability to do make them do so, we ought to just get rid of the whole judicial system in America. Policemen would never arrest the wrong person, the SEC would never overstep its regulatory boundaries, the EEOC and NLRB always know the true score. It would save us so much money as taxpayers - go straight to jail, do not pass go. We'll figure it out later if it was right or wrong.
