I think it's wrong that the business of filing lawsuits has taken on entrepreneurial characteristics.

High return for low risk invites lots and lots of frivolous lawsuits. The hidden costs to society, of course, are the people who have to defend themselves from said lawsuits.

Just like the D.C. judge who sued a dry cleaner for millions of dollars. That jerk not only lost the case, he was ordered to pay the legal fees of the dry cleaners. That's a start, but it's also one of many, many examples of how burdensome these frivolous lawsuits can get.
