Lemon OH-OH's....

You have to resist.

You have to look those cookies in the eye and say....not me!

<I did not eat very well today either.>

Bad eating day. Bowl of leftover never-ending pasta salad for brunch. I suspect it is reproducing in the frig at night. The recipe made enough to feed a small country, and while I am a little overweight, I have not yet gotten my own flag and national anthem.

Rambistan.

Three glasses of wine. As I said bad day. Leftover nachos- ugh- limp. Nasty.
Large bowl of strawberries- attempt at penance.
Popcorn and skim milk. Not a pleasing combination, but coulnd't find anything I wanted to drink with the popcorn.

Hey Kid Rick,
Thanks again for getting me to think about the crap I was eating. Although I am now eating the low carb, low saturated fat type foods and supplements, I have strangely enough, not craved any of the convenience type food that is available everywhere you look. Today is Sunday -- scheduled cheat day -- but I don't feel like cheating at all.

Since my "wake up call" posting, the one with the healthy eating plan designed around the pseudo-onion rings, I have been on a mission to plan my daily eating, and have filled my house with healthy snacking alternatives, such as fresh veggies for example. I have also been back to the gym 3 times, which I hadn't done in probably over a year, I ashamed to say.

In six days since my confession, I went from 226 lbs. to 219 lbs. when weighed this mourning....I'm thrilled, and now totally dedicated to get into top shape once again. I ttok some "before" pictures last week (I told you I was serious)...maybe if I get to where I want to be, I'll post a couple of before/afters. That way, it adds to the committment to follow through!

My not so brief point is:
Your "food police" thread has made a very positive impact on me, as I hope it is for others.
A lot of people on this thread eat pretty well, and it is interesting to read their menus (I'm not exactly sure why, but it's true....maybe it is motivation factor.

Thanks again for "busting" me last week!

Regards,
WIJ
