While I personally am not particularly interested in why the fuss is being made now, I imagine it is because the most recent use of the order. It is rather like the RICO statutes, while many people think they are a legal abomination, most don't not think about them until the next high profile use of them. Then they say something, like I did about this. In the big scheme of things, what I think about it isn't going to make any difference. That's sort of how life works, I think.
