Now for part II. Israel. Why was it formed? I've only ever heard of two reasons why Israel was formed. Possibilities: 1. Europeans were guilty about what was done to the Jews during WWII. [That is frequently claimed by Nadine BTW.... I think almost on a weekly basis.] 2. After the Holocaust the Europeans wanted to get rid of the remaining Jews and sent them off to the desert. This worked out pretty well, as this particular piece of desert was what they wanted. Pick one or add a third. Maybe it's a blend. jttmab P.S. It doesn't seem that the Europeans cared that much about what happened to the Poles in the concentration camps, we [Allies] turned the Poles over to Stalin. Weren't they lucky?
