Having read innumerable books on the Holocaust, the Jews had a "that couldn't possibly happen here" mentality- as many people do, right before their neighbors rise up and kill them. Same thing happened in Rwanda, where people couldn't BELIEVE their neighbors would turn on them, and that they'd be slaughtered. The lesson, imo, of the holocaust is not limited to Jews and Germans, the lessons of all holocausts is that they can happen anywhere, they thrive on the acceptance of hate and prejudice by a critical mass of the population- and that hate and prejudice can be directed religiously, racially, and politically- or any other way.

The holocaust should not be looked at as an aberration, although the efficiency of the German state certainly made the killing spectacular.

Try this....The docility with which jews were led to the slaughter only testifies to their pacifism and respect for the authority of the state.

Humans are basically wimps. Wake up, it's not a treasured value, it's a characteristic. The Poles, Romas and Jews were all docile.

With regard to that "piece of land" .. france and britian were both only too happy to give it as a jewish colony...dependant upon them.....both vied for the honor.

Colonial powers are special. They are happy to give away land they stole....especially, when they can't afford [financially] to keep it any longer. And they never do care about what they leave behind. All over the world, look how Britain ignored the composition of what they left. ... the middle east; India/Pakistan; Iraq.

Zionism has traditionally been funded from within the jewish community.

My apologies for not bringing that up. In addition to being given a plot of land. They get reparations from Germany; they get aid from the US and they get a bunch of money from American [primarily] Jewry. Have I missed anyone?

Have you ever looked at Israel's tax and tariff structure? Are they still holding on to nationalized industries? What % of Israelis are on some form of welfare? It's a big number?

Israel as a Jewish State isn't going to survive. It can't. In the best of circumstances it's going to collapse under it's own weight. What is Israel going to do when the Arab population in Israel becomes the majority? Is Israel going to adopt a sterilization policy for Arabs?
