The local populations in Iraq are already dividing themselves up in a de facto manner....ethnic cleansing, religious police, terror, fleeing of the middle class.......death and destruction resulting in neighborhoods with populations of "like kinds" only.

And Kurdistan to the North..heck, they are already separate...No Iraqi flags there...no sense of unity with Baghdad...

Bush obviously didn’t go the partition route and I doubt it will happen, but I definitely don’t want Iraq to get too chummy with Iran after we leave.
