Oh, I know AQ presence in Iraq is much more massive now. And certainly our presence is seen as a massive challenge to them, which draws them there. Just as our presence in Saudi Arabia and our enforcement of UN sanctions on Iraq were seen during Saddam's time.

The problem is it's not a zero sum game.

Also, what kind of message does it send the Iraqi people that we want to draw the worst murderers in the world to their country so we can limit the carnage, destruction, and mayhem to Iraqi soil? What does it say that we're luring AQ to Iraq so they'll blow up innocent Iraqis instead of innocent Americans? What do you think an Iraqi, who we claim to be liberating, thinks of such a strategy?

Do you ever worry that the Iraqis aren't showing us sufficient gratitude?
