He informed me that when a fuel is independently tested by an ASTM lab and the fuel meets or exceeds the standard then it is ASTM certified. It is a misnomer that there is an actual certification. There were some conflicting reports, so I called AmSpec this morning, July 19. I called Ruben Hernandez (name on the Certificate of Analysis), and immediately got his answering machine. 4 hours later he called me back. He apologized, he was at the airport all morning. He requested the File No. (they do many tests), HO 56344. He said he would look it up and call me back in 5 minutes. He did call back in 5, but said that someone from "Biodiesel" would call me in 15 minutes. That was not his expertise, he is one of the owners. So, I asked him about the rumor of AmSpec buying some OD-66. He immediately said no, that is not what AmSpec does, they do not even have the means to do that. That should end the buying rumor. In 10 minutes I think his name is Neil Boone called me. I asked if the Test results and Certificate means that OD-66 is ASTM Certified. He said, "Yes". I asked so that means they can sell the fuel, he again said "Yes". He offered that he believes that they have been Producing Fuel since last Friday. I then mentioned the 36 degree Cloud Point and asked if that is a Summer Blend, he immediately said yes. The Fuel will need an Additive or another Blend for winter. Other tidbits of info. They have been working with USSE for a month or 2, have done about 9 different Fuel Tests. He has spent a whole day with the USSE "Engineer". The sample came from Natchez, he will be flying to Natchez within a week to personally take a sample directly from the Reactor for more Tests. I then asked if the Fuel results were impressive. He said most definitely. AmSpec was very prompt, courteous and professional.
