Dogs are the best people I ever met.

Now you are making me feel guilty since you forgave Yankee and let him live the rest of his life with you.

When my two boys were approx 3 and 4 hubby brought home a stray dog that had hung out at his office all day. Puppy seemed nice enough, but soon after he came to live with us all heck broke loose. I could not plant anything without him tearing it up. He chewed on everything including shoes, clothing, toys, furniture.......and just could not get it through his skull that those were bad traits.

I did most of the dog raising since hubby was at job, and lord knows between the youngins' and the dog I tried my best to tame all three, but the day I left to go to the park with a kid group and came home to find the brand new hot tub cover completely destroyed was the day my husband received his orders to get that dog out of here before I did something I'd regret. We weren't rich people and spending $250 on a hot tub cover was a big deal to us. I just did not have the patience or time to train an incorrigible dog at that point in my life.

I'm sure the dog was adopted.........he was very cute.
