If you're curious, taking odometer readings with several tank fills and doing the MPG math and then cross checking the results with your cars cumulative display (reset it each time you fill) will tell you how accurate it actually is..

I've used the cumulative display for medium term monitoring. That gives me some information. I know that I get about 14 MPG around home and mid to high thirties going 75 on the freeway with the A/C cranked up. I was considering using the graphic display, as well, to monitor such things as jackrabbit starts or using the cruise control, that require real time info.

It's mostly idle curiosity. The car will get whatever mileage it gets and I will drive however I drive. It's just something to amuse me while on the highway in light traffic. The amusement of watching the navigator map has worn off. <g>
