Its unfortunate that the country will have to suffer to really see what damage Bush has done. It looks like Bush is so selfish he doesn't even care about other Republicans - he's just desperately trying to save his place in history by hoping for some sort of "hail Mary" in Iraq. You'll notice the September time frame for a report on the "the surge" is being pushed back because its not working. I predict Bush will go even further down in the polls yet - due to staying in Iraq and a deterioration of the US economy - he will probably surpass Nixon - believe it or not. The Republicans will lose all support save the die-hard Longnshort types - its inevitable - its the one good thing Bush is doing.
