i find it interesting that natural gas is so much rarer than coal in the USA but coal stocks are way outperforming gassy stocks.
guess that everyone drilling for gas since permitting is easier and drilling is cheaper.
must be very hard to permit a mine and also a lot more expensive.
always thought we had literally tons of coal but i guess thinking about it as described above, we may actually have a glut of gas and a shortage of coal?

I agree. But I also have to recognize that the market is very volatile near term, and that creates trading opportunities and hazards. Few in the short term have the long term view. This will change someday.
