You think we have been at war since 1979. I don't. You think those killed on 9/11/01 were KIA and I think they were killed in inaction. I don't "dismiss terrorism as a bumper sticker". I don't think "war on terror" is the best description of what we have to do or are doing. War On Terror doesn't mean anything about what we face. So what is it? It is a slogan. "War On Terrorism" is more accurate but calling it a war is counterproductive. You want to perpetuate the message this is a "crusade" (GWB's word a few days after 9/11/01) and a religious war, even though it makes no sense strategically for the United States or the world. This is off-topic for RMTR. Take this to a political thread, for those who are here for Ramtron.
