"well beer prices and Tequilla prices are going up because of that" No doubt nearly all consumer prices are rising at a much faster clip then the government admits to (in the heavily manipulated CPI numbers). You have to turn to private numbers (or the Fed's PCE numbers, posted daily) to get a more honest assessment of the level of consumer inflation. The government LIES in the CPI numbers (& has for decades) because it has an INCENTIVE to lie. A HUGE incentive. So many or the government transfer payments are pegged to the CPI rate... that it literally saves the government trillions (in the long run) by lying.
