Oh, people have, but people have also noted the millions in Baathist cash that hung around to fund the insurgency - large sums of which have been found by American troops.

Saddam did not think his time was up, that was too rational for him. If he had thought his time was up, he would be alive today and living in comfort in Damascus or Saudi Arabia.

Saddam had an MO which included a track record of hiding stuff (like his air force) in other countries when he thought he might be invaded.
