You could easily imagine, that SOI bins higher than bulk, at least I would expect that or why is AMD doing all the things on SOI these days? Second you could again assume, that TSMC will by far not reach AMDs own speeds -> double hit. What would be the result? A very low clocked CPU, which is at the lowest end compared to 2800+ Sempron these days. You could also imagine, in what price region these parts will have to be - 20-30$. Funny. They should concentrate on the GPU design and should throw all MCM thoughts at this time beside - its not worth, not now. As a short I'm not complaining, because this will help to burn even more money, because development resources has to be very big and big challenges in the production field will instantly appear, look at Chartered now -> very very quiet, too quiet and everyone assume, that TSMC will get it better with a much more complicate design?
