Considering that the Republicans filibuster every chance they get, it shouldn't be a huge surprise. 1/6th of all bills in the Senate have been filibustered. Or, at least, failed on votes of cloture when a filibuster was threatened. Technically speaking, only the one was actually filibustered. We'll see if voters remember next year. I have a feeling that they will...but who knows. In a sinister, sad way bush could be the best thing that has happened to the US of A. Reminds all of us how fragile the democracy really is. Al
